The video is quite unconventional of 30 seconds to mars as
they often do quite unusual things and nothing linked to the song title and
like to go “all out” in this they have linked with the video and have given it
a story which they don’t normally do and they include all band members not just
lead singer and use clips from historical parts of history to link with people
and to let people understand there video more easily. They use techniques like
slow motion to show dramatic parts in there song and also they often put pauses
in their songs because they like when performing live to interact with the
crowd this is why often there are pauses in there videos however as the video
progresses it starts to go unconventional even more and things happen which you
wouldn’t understand and they link there album to at the end with a pyramid
which is the symbol for their album which is a pyramid the narrative behind the
video is to do with fighting and to fight for what you believe in and to fight
for your religion and what you believe in because if you don’t then what else
do you have. Uses a powerful text at the beginning saying if we don’t end war,
war will end us meaning that if we don’t stop it soon it will consume us and
the video then links in the way how we are destroying the thing we wage war
with. Uses sounds from live audiences to give you a feel of being there
